The curcumin (extracted from turmeric) in URICIL is a potent anti-oxidant which fights off the infection and reduces the occurrence. Curcumin is also a potent anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory agent that helps to relieve the inflammation of the bladder during cystitis. Potassium Citrate makes the urine less acidic (alkalises the urine) which helps to relieve the painful burning sensation when urinating.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor. Dosage is as per below:

Skipping doses or stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a return of the infection and make the bacteria more difficult to treat (resistant).
